Swim Meet 101
MEET START TIME: All Southland Swim Association dual meets start at 5:30PM on Wednesdays. Should it rain on a Wednesday meet, the make-up meet will be the next day (Thursday).
ARRIVAL TIME: Please arrive at the pool on time for all meets. Approximate arrival time for home meets is 4:30pm. Approximate arrival time for away meets is 5:00pm.
MEET END TIME: Time length of meets will vary based on the number of swimmers competing, size of the pool, etc. Most meets are over between 9:00 and 9:30pm.
UPON ARRIVAL:
- Be on Time! Warm-ups for both teams will be held prior to the meet.
- Ensure your swimmer has sunscreen on and is marked up with his/her name and event information. If you are new to swim team, there will be plenty of "old-timers" who can help you with this!
- VOLUNTEERS: If you have signed up to volunteer PLEASE check in with our volunteer coordinator as soon as you get to the pool. We need to know that all volunteers are accounted for.
